If you’re middle aged and you haven’t done much muscle fitness, you probably have problems with fat around the waist.

If you’re not part of the 60% of the population that is considered to be overweight, then you’re one of the lucky ones. You slowly realize that the muscle fitness is declining, and you might become concerned.
You don’t have to worry about it too much, because the change takes place slowly. You might be thinking that it’s not too late and that you’ll do something about it later.
But that never happens and you’ll end up with an even bigger problem, so that you’ll never start solving it. And while you wait, your muscles will deteriorate and it’ll be harder to shape them up and improve the fitness.

You’ll see changes after a while. You won’t see the improved fitness and the firmer muscles. People will feel better about themselves once they feel they’re slimmer and in a better shape. Also the slimmer people are considered more attractive.
Next, you’ll have to think about what you have to do to get rid of the extra fat from the waist, all the fat around that area.
The surgical procedures of losing the fat won’t strengthen the bone or build muscle, the only thing that would, is exercise (except eating right).

So if you want to choose the right kind of exercise, you have to remember these:
• There has to be something that you’ll enjoy doing
• When you work out, start slowly and then increase the intensity and the length of the exercises.
• You have to do weight bearing exercises, aerobics and stretching.
• Get a good diet
• Work out at a convenient hour so that it becomes your habit.
• Do variations so that you don’t get bored.
• Get a friend to work out with you so it becomes more fun.
